We’re Dawn and Jade and we run The Dance Box which was created in 2021! After a strange and challenging couple of years for everyone, we decided it was now time to get the next generation of dancers back dancing and having fun! We both have a passion for all things Dance and Musical Theatre and want to pass this on to anyone and everyone who attends one of our classes! Having danced from a young age, I went on to train professionally at Performers College, graduating with a National Diploma in Professional Dance Theatre alongside my ISTD teaching qualifications. Upon graduating, I worked in many strands of the dance industry, including adverts for T-Mobile, filming for MTV and a variety of tours including a UK sell out tour with N-Dubz and Tinchy Stryder, before turning to my love of teaching! I’ve always had a passion for helping and inspiring people to achieve their best and reach their goals within their dancing, whether it’s just for fun or they want to make a career from it. I’ve taught all ages of children and adults in various dance schools, theatre schools, mainstream and additional needs schools for over 10 years now. After taking some time away in 2020 to have my daughter, I realised it was now time to bring my dream of running The Dance Box to life! I am thrilled to have Jade alongside me and we are so excited to make The Dance Box something special for all ages and abilities! We have lots of plans up our sleeve and can’t wait to make them a reality!
From starting ballet when I was a tiny dot, I have always had a passion for dancing and performing arts. After completing an Extended Diploma in Dance, I continued my training at Performers College where I gained a BA HONS in Dance and Musical Theatre. Having been taught by some incredible teachers during my training, I feel I gained a wealth of knowledge and had many great opportunities. A favourite being performing at Wembley Stadium for the Euro Closing Ceremony. I have always loved teaching and since graduating, I have been lucky enough to teach a variety of ages in many styles. I have a passion for helping people grow and enjoy dancing and performing, as well as encouraging a positive and inclusive environment. I am so excited for the future with The Dance Box and to be working alongside the person who inspired me to be where I am now!
