We’re Dawn and Jade and we run The Dance Box which was created in 2021! After a strange and challenging couple of years for everyone, we decided it was now time to get the next generation of dancers back dancing and having fun! We both have a passion for all things Dance and Musical Theatre and want to pass this on to anyone and everyone who attends one of our classes! Having danced from a young age, I went on to train professionally at Performers College, graduating with a National Diploma in Professional Dance Theatre alongside my ISTD teaching qualifications.
Upon graduating, I worked in many strands of the dance industry, including adverts for T-Mobile, filming for MTV & a variety of tours including a UK sell out tour with N-Dubz & Tinchy Stryder, before turning to my love of teaching!
I’ve always had a passion for helping & inspiring students to achieve their best & reach their goals within their dancing, whether it’s for fun or they want to make a career from it.
I’ve taught all ages of children & adults in various dance schools, theatre schools, mainstream & additional needs schools for over 14 years now.
After taking some time away in 2020 to have my 1st daughter, I decided it was now time to bring my dream of running The Dance Box to life!
Fast forward 5 years, my 2nd daughter was born & The Dance Box is growing & becoming everything we hoped it would be!
From starting ballet when I was a tiny dot, I have always had a passion for dancing & performing arts.
After completing an Extended Diploma in Dance, I continued my training at Performers College where I gained a BA HONS in Dance and Musical Theatre. Having been taught by some incredible teachers during my training I feel I gained a wealth of knowledge & had many great opportunities. A favourite being performing at Wembley Stadium for the Euro Closing Ceremony. I have always loved teaching & since graduating I have been lucky enough to teach a variety of ages in many styles.
I have a passion for helping people grow & enjoy dancing & performing, as well as encouraging a positive & inclusive environment.
I am so excited for the future with The Dance Box & to be working alongside the person who inspired me to be where I am now!
